Community Speed Watch

I have been trying to set up a Community Speed Watch (CSW) group in Lixwm for a while now - you may have seen me and another volunteer from Holywell standing at the side of the road in high-vis jackets. Unfortunately 2 people isn't enough to cover Lixwm and Holywell and I'm looking for other like-mi...

Before: http://www.speedtest.net/result/5796766584.png Now: http://www.speedtest.net/result/5799524128.png 64x faster! It has been a long wait. I'm expecting the kids to be happy for at least a couple of days before they complain this isn't fast enough......

Re: The village can order Fibre!

Merv Is there a green bullet shaped plastic box on one or two of the poles near your close? These are the Fibre points, as pictured by Admin a few weeks ago? What does the FTTP checker say for your phone number? This is the pole on the pub side of the road at the bend: http://i1096.photobucket.com/...

Re: The village can order Fibre!

Merv, I spoke to an engineer a few weeks ago and he was installed a better copper feed their..don't know why but I don't see any poles with the manifolds on at the top!! I thought they'd run cable underground from a pole on the pub side of the bend across to a box at the top of the close. I've rais...

Re: The village can order Fibre!

Sorry Merv read after he left. Couldn't pull the cable through and no rope to pull it so they need a spring tool to get round the t junction. They will be coming back on Monday (over time) or Tuesday. I'll ask then for you. Thanks for that. Hope you get connected ok. If they've stopped the installa...

Hi, can you ask the BT engineers when the top of the village will be connected please?

All the cables seem to be installed but we can't order yet!

Re: Well this could be it for some!!

Does anyone understand why some locations in the village still report as 'in scope' on the checker while others are (in theory at least) 'accepting orders'? You can see this for the top of the village between CH..NB and CH..NA. I thought that all the installation work had been completed so all prope...
