Been running bt wholesale speed performance test etc as requested by BT all week. My line in evenings etc drops from 309 during day to 100 at night and fluctuates all night. BT have checked and state it is contention and there is nothing they can do about it, the faster the line the more it gets hit...

Call from Fibre Team today.

Usual stuff, they blame Openreach (BTWholseale) and Wholesale blame them!

Have been given instructions to run a diagnostic on the speedtests, will record fluctuation till Monday and get back to them.

All quiet on Here? Has no-one else had an installation yet? If you have, post a speed test, what ping do you get, how is the connection? etc I have fluctuating speeds, and have lodged a service fault with BT, my speeds are consistently around 310mb during the day but drop to approx 150mb in the even...

Well Done! Its been a very very long slog. From the days of Dial up at 500kb when everyone else went to ADSL, then from my abinternet WIFI at 8mb when everyone else went to FTTC. Fibre Box now fitted to the external wall ready for BT to come and run a wire from it into the house. I was at work when they initially started, got a call and popped home! They had run the cable straight from the BT Wire from the pole and down the CTR of the Gable wall, it looked horrible! I asked ...

Agreed, I was informed by bt though that fttp does not cross wifi at greater than 80mb.
To see full fttp test on a hard wired connection

Infinity 4 is their full fttp package. I linked mine with a new phone package , call minder, etc, so in total come to £57 a month which includes unlimited calls anytime and the line rental too. Considering I presently pay £28 or thereabouts to ABInternet for 8mb not including line rental for BT iof ...
