Many thanks for the update and explanation most useful ...... fingers crossed 5 months! I asked them some time ago and I reckon they should be in village 6 weeks prior to anyone getting it doing work.

Just received a tweet from Superfast Cymru who state that Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) will be going ahead and will be here early summer according to them.

Does anyone know an 'average' or typical price for installation and monthly costs for FTTP?

Thanks Admin!

I asked because originally FTTP was subject to large installation (price per metre from exchange to household(. I cannot find information to say this is no longer the case so will see what happens.

Hi Bev, I've checked your details and it seems that the area served by cabinet 4 off the Halkyn exchange is in scope for the roll out of Fibre to the Premises (FTTP). FTTP is more challenging to deploy. I have checked and work is underway on the Halkyn 4 fibre structure and it is estimated that the build work will be completed in the summer. It will be aprx 6-8 weeks after the build work is completed before customers will be able to place an order. Please note that this date is only an estimation and may change.
The good news is your area is in scope for the programme and work has started on the structure. My advice therefore would be to register with us via our website and we can send you an e-mail as and when the location gets upgraded.
Thanks
Susi

Morning All,

I've just received this very wooly email that gives no detail whatsoever but does say that our exchange has been upgraded!

Did anyone else receive this?

Hi Andy,
I have registered with both BT Openreach and Superfast Cymru and to confirm I never received the message.

Hi

The BT Openreach and Superfast Cymru checkers are nowe displaying Cab4 fttp as not being available until 2017!!!!!

Looking at twitter etc it may be that this is a generic date and cab4 may well still be on for fttp this summer.

Has anyone in this area had a response from either company re the new 2017 date?
