Any idea whether we will be able to order mainstream fibre like BT and Virgin or will it only be FTTP providers like Zen?

I have done some research and the following ISP's should provide fibre to the village:

BT
Plusnet
Sky
TalkTalk
EE

The Blue Bell in Halkyn gets over 17MB wifi form their provider!

Thanks for looking into it.

I noticed that they where pulling cable through from the entrance to Maes Y Goron towards the green towards the end of last week.

When I look on the Openreach map it is still only saying 'in scope'.

FTTP In Scope

You are connected to cabinet number 4 on the Halkyn exchange.

Your area is currently in scope for the roll out of Fibre to the Premise (FTTP). Timescales for FTTP rollout are highly variable. It is anticipated that you will be able to place a fibre order by the end of June 2017, although it might be sooner. In the meantime you may wish to explore the Welsh Government Access Broadband Cymru scheme which could help you gain access to alternative broadband products.

So do we have less vague timescales given that they are pulling the cable through?

MYG, I have contacted Superfast Cymru who state they are on for early summer this is an error on the page. I have noticed now around the village that all fibre is done coming into the CAB. The only thing that needs doing now is the CAB it self and then individual connections to those who want it either via FTTP or FTTC.
